DESIGN A HEALTHIER BODY WITH A HOME GYM

The heat is on! When temperatures soar, you may not be motivated to go outside to work out — and it may even be dangerous to do so. A good alternative to maintain your exercise schedule during even the hottest weather is adding a home gym or dedicating a space in your home to work out. There are plenty of ways to get a good workout with or without exercise equipment.

A SMALL BUT IMPORTANT SPACE TO ORGANIZE: YOUR CLOSET

Despite being one of the smaller spaces in your home, your closet can really benefit from being organized — and that will translate into better well-being for you.

I’ve written on closet organization before but the subject is so important that I’m offering some more tips to maximize how you use your closet space. These tips are inspired by a Real Simple article, “5 Closet Mistakes you May be Making.”

DECLUTTER YOUR HOME: ONCE AND FOR All

Having positive mindset guidelines when starting the process is the most important step — and knowing how to achieve your goal will result in greater success. Real Simple’s March 27, 2024, article, “16 Steps to Finally Declutter your Home Once and for All,” was the inspiration for this blog post. I’ve condensed their steps into the five I feel are most important

MOVE SPRING CLEANING OUTDOORS

Last month, I debunked the notion that spring cleaning is limited to inside your home by focusing on actions you can take to spring clean your garage. Now, let’s take things a step further by looking at ways you can spring clean the exterior of your home as well as the property that surrounds it.

SPRING CLEANING: DON’T FORGET YOUR GARAGE!

If you remember the January and February blog posts—focused on organization and decluttering—you won’t be surprised to see the theme of letting go the old to bring in new goodness continue this month as we move outside the home and into the garage.

WANT A MORE SOOTHING, LESS STRESSFUL HOME? DECLUTTER!

The beginning of a year is a great time to reflect on the past, learn what can be improved and implement positive changes. While we’re in the second month of 2024, that means the year is still young. One change you may want to consider—especially if you crave more soothing, less stressful spaces—is to declutter.

UPDATE YOUR LAUNDRY ROOM FOR A CLEAN START TO THE NEW YEAR

When you think about making design updates to your home, your laundry room may not be top of mind—but perhaps it should be. We remodeled the laundry room in our San Diego home, starting with replacing our side-by-side washer/dryer with full-size stackables. There is so much to love about travel—including seeing amazing sights and taking a break from real life to recharge. But you may be overlooking another benefit of enjoying time away from home: getting inspired by the designs you see in hotel rooms. Applying the creative design tips noted below can help you feel like you’re staying at a luxury hotel in your own home.

FIND IT FAST—ORGANIZE YOUR PANTRY
